The Stan Bowley Trust is proud to introduce Stan Bowley’s Home from Home – a warm, welcoming space designed to support cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
🌟 What Is the Home from Home?
Radiotherapy often requires patients to attend multiple treatment sessions over several days or weeks. While these patients don’t need to stay in a hospital ward, many live too far away to travel back and forth each day. That’s where Stan Bowley’s Home from Home comes in.
This dedicated facility offers a comfortable, non-clinical environment where patients can stay with their loved ones during treatment – reducing stress, travel time, and the emotional toll of cancer care.

It costs just £40 per day – or £14,600 per year – to run this vital service. To help fund it, we’ve launched our “Buy a Brick – Build a Home” campaign.
For £40, you can sponsor a symbolic brick in a representative model house that will be built to honour every donor’s contribution. Each brick represents a day of comfort and care for someone in need.
