Rona Johnson - Chair

As a founding member of the charity, my involvement stems not only from my acquaintance with Stan during my tenure as a Police Officer but also from working alongside my dear friends Ian and Rebecca Bowley. After 28 years of service, I retired from the Police force.

Married to Mal, we share four adult children, four grandchildren, and a cherished dog. My hobbies include reading, arts and crafts, yoga, skiing, cycling, and spending time in the mountains. I take great pleasure in both organising and participating in the Trust's challenges.

My dedication to CyberKnife technology is profound, and I am committed to making it accessible to everyone in need.

Ian Bowley - Charity Coordinator

Hailing from Draycott-In-The-Clay, Staffordshire, I've been happily married to my best friend, Rebecca, for 23 years (2024), and we share an amazing son, Ethan. I am also a proud father to three equally remarkable adult children from a previous marriage, Charlotte, Mathew and Gemma who all contribute to the Charity. My younger brother was Alan "Stan" Bowley, and my younger sister is fellow trustee Pamela.

As a retired police officer, who now runs my own event management company. Beyond charity work, my greatest passion lies in supporting Derby County F.C. I've been a season ticket holder for life, attending games with my father and now with my two sons. My interests also include Formula One, golf, and a variety of other sports.

My enthusiasm for CyberKnife is profound, having witnessed its incredible impact on people's lives. I am confident that soon, anyone in the UK in need of CyberKnife will have access to it.

Pamela Bowley - Secretary

I was born in 1970, being the third & final child, having 2 older brothers, Ian & Alan (Stan) Bowley, we spent all of our childhood in Draycott in the Clay.

Having been married & divorced, twice, my eldest son is from my first marriage, then my middle & youngest are from my second marriage. I only wanted boys, so I was blessed to have 3, each one of them makes me immensely proud and we are very close, after having a difficult journey along the way. I have recently become a grandma for the first time to a beautiful little girl.

I am now happily cohabiting with my partner, who has three wonderful daughters, and living the best possible life we can, Ian & I having experienced losing our brother, Alan, at a young age, which makes you evaluate life, and live every day like it’s your last.

I work in social housing, heading up an Income Team working on debt recovery, where I have worked for the past 14 years, this isn’t just a job for me, I am very lucky to be one of not too many people who is very passionate about the work they do. In addition, I am Secretary at the Stan Bowley Trust, keeping Alan’s legacy alive.

In my spare time I have, I love to travel and take as many quick trips to various places as I can, I read when I have time, but my family is my priority, always has been, & always will be!

Jenny Bradley - Trustee

Born in Dudley 1976 (I know I don't look it) where I grew up with my mom, dad and older brother Mark.

I have been married, divorced and have 3 amazing children, Holli, Esme & Ted who keep me extremely busy. To add to the chaos of family life we also have 2 dogs Bailey and Baxter who are both mad but adorable.

The majority of my working life I've been in finance, mostly the banking industry before starting my family. I now work as an Operations Manager for a business consultancy firm.

In my spare time when I'm not playing taxi to the 3 kids I enjoy going to the cinema (so I can have a nap) bowling and eating out with family and friends.

Unfortunately I have lost far too many family and friends to cancer and this is why the SBT charity is so close to my heart.

Matt Black - Trustee

I did most of my growing up in sunny Shrewsbury moving to the Black Country in 1999 settling first in Cannock and now in Walsall.

I’ve been married, divorced and married again; having two of my own children and picking up another two along the way makes family life both busy and dynamic.

We are exceptionally lucky with how driven, bright and sensible all four of are children are, all of which have very promising futures giving us both plenty of reasons to be proud and hopeful.  Watching them grow has and continues to be a pleasure.

As well as trustee for this amazing charity I am a seasoned sales guy building my empire and making my mark on the world with my own business focusing in the eco and energy industries.

Having got to know Ian over the last twelve months makes me appreciate how very important this charity is.  One in two of us will be affected by cancer so to be given the opportunity to work within an organisation that literally keeps people alive and free from this devastating disease is an absolute privilege and one I don’t intend on wasting.
